Delyth discovered barbershop in 1977 and became a founder member of the Plymouth Mayflowers Chorus.  She sang baritone from the very start.  Moving to Bristol in 1979, she joined The Avon Belles chorus, becoming assistant MD and gained silver medals at LABBS contests in 1983 and 1986.  With Bristol Crème quartet she won LABBS quartet bronze (1982) and gold (1983) medals and the IABS International quartet trophy in 1992.  In 2012 her family quartet K4 (with husband Dick and sons Joe and Tom) silver medalled in LABBS' inaugural mixed quartet contest, and bronze the following year.  Currently Delyth sings baritone in a mixed quartet with Dick and another married couple, named Crown Derby which in its last contest year, 2019, won silver medals at barbershop conventions in Spain and Ireland, and bronze in the UK.

Delyth has been musical director of several choruses – Sentimental Journey in Bristol (just for fun), Brunel Harmony (as it was then) in Saltash, Cornwall, from 1997 to 2016 and Coast to Coast, the LABBS national ladies chorus from 2005 to 2008.  Then there was Western Approach men’s chorus, based in Saltash and finally the Pilgrimaires men’s chorus based in Plymouth, from 2014 to 2016.  Delyth has coached a number of British choruses and quartets, including three quartet championship winners. Partially retired, she is now lead section leader with GEM Connection in the English East Midlands and a member of the warm-up crew.

After having been an Arrangement judge in the old barbershop judging categories in the 1980s, Delyth certified as a LABBS Music Category judge in 2008.  She has since judged national and international men's and ladies' chorus and quartet competitions in England, Ireland, Holland and New England, USA (assignments usually including some education, evaluation and coaching of competitors post-contest).  She served as Category Director from 2012 – 2015.

In the UK, Delyth has directed college chorus streams at LABBS Harmony Colleges in 2003, 2005 & 2007 and led workshops in 2016 and 2019.  From 2010 - 2015 she presented the "Theory of Harmony" course at BABS Harmony College, now part of the Personal Development stream.  During 2020 she presented some online education including sessions about the theory of music for LABBS members and has continued to be involved in online coaching.
