David Foskett, Web and App Manager and Mixed Chorus Contest Manager [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] David has always enjoyed singing and has sang in choirs and church music groups before finding Barbershop. He discovered Barbershop in 2003 through a friend, who introduced him to Shannon Express, which he joined and sang Lead with for many years. He served on the Executive Committee of Shannon Express and was delighted when he was invited to sing Lead in an established Quartet within the Chorus, called Time After Time. Quartet singing was a challenge for David at first, but his confidence grew, and his Quartet sang for charitable and private gigs for many years, including at private functions, care homes and for the general public. In 2017 he joined his wife Jill in forming Black Cat Harmony Chorus (mixed voice). Despite all the odds and challenges that the last couple of years have brought, Black Cat Harmony continues to thrive. David is a Candidate in the Contest Admin Team and has recently started to assist Shanna Wells as the Website and App Manager. Over many years, he has written and managed several NFP and small business websites in his spare time. David worked in the Software Development and Operations world until he retired from full-time employment. Recently, he has started volunteering at the Nene Valley Railway, which has enabled him to achieve a lifelong ambition to be involved in steam railways. David believes that the British Association of Barbershop Singers is a fabulous organisation, which brings singers together from all walks of life. Singing is great fun and the comradeship of belonging to a Chorus and/or Quartet is priceless. Manage Cookie Preferences
