Pippa studied music all of her academic life, achieving a total of five Grade 8 Certificates in violin, singing, organ, piano and theory, and gaining a music scholarship at Bryanston School whilst she was a cathedral chorister at Salisbury Cathedral. It was whilst she was studying Music at the University of Manchester that she first discovered barbershop music through MUBS (Manchester University Barbershop Singers) - and she immediately fell in love.

After graduating with a First, she decided a career in music wasn't for her, so she moved to London to gain yet another qualification, this time in Accountancy. She currently works as a Chartered Accountant in the Technology sector.

The role of Director of Finance for BABS involves everything money-related. Pippa makes sure suppliers and volunteers get paid on time; presents figures to the board at each board meeting; works with the board on forecasts for the year; and also helps with any financial issues that clubs may have.
