The BABS D&I Sub-Committee is here to support you. That is why we are encouraging all clubs to appoint a D&I Representative. This role can be moulded to fit your chorus need and is a great step towards creating an inclusive space.

The person nominated should ideally have a commitment to promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, be a good listener and sensitive to marginalised issues.

Responsible to: Committee (optional)

Responsibilities can include but are not limited to the following:
• Support the Music Team in selecting songs mindfully, that would not offend marginalised groups or members within our community
• Creating policy on D&I where needed
• Supporting club recruitment in an inclusive manner
• Advising on updates to constitutions or rules to be more inclusive
• Supporting individual needs of members
• Liaising with PR and marketing teams to show the chorus as an inclusive and welcoming space
• Keep up to date with BABS Diversity and Inclusion updates
