Hannah Briggs, Events Manager Hannah is a third-generation barbershopper who has been immersed in music her whole life. Growing up around the hobby, she attended her first convention at 5 months old and has missed very few since then! She watched and cheered from the audience through her younger years as her parents and grandparents graced the stage, then in 2014 she won her first quartet gold medal with Hannah and the Hurricanes. She sings in numerous quartets and choruses including Cheshire Chord Company, The Bakewell Tarts and The Sharrow Vale Blues, and is the MD of a new LABBS chorus based in Sheffield, Steel City Voices. Directing is very new to Hannah, but she is really enjoying the challenge and can’t wait to take SCV to LABBS convention soon. Hannah also runs a small business from home, HBTEACHTRACKS, where she records and edits learning tracks for barbershop groups all over the world. She really loves helping barbershoppers to learn new music and is always excited when a new commission pops into the inbox! Hannah has been deeply involved in music since a young age; she plays multiple instruments and holds a Music degree from the University of Sheffield. Outside of barbershop, Hannah is a music tutor and lives in Sheffield with her husband Tim. She loves cycling, running, enjoying Tim’s fabulous cooking, buying too many houseplants and curling up in front of the telly whilst doing a lot of crafting (knitting and cross-stitching especially).
