She is also the principal of a part time Theatre School in Derbyshire. Kirsty is a performance judge for the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers and coach. Her work in the theatre and performing arts education means she has a performer centred approach to barbershop coaching with a focus on acting and stage direction. She works with the performer to find an inner truth which can be developed to produce a natural-feeling, authentic and stage worthy performance. Kirsty’s approach is quite organic which means that each group will experience a unique experience driven by the personality and instincts of the performers. She enjoys working with storytelling, acting techniques and choreography with groups to facilitate work that engages and moves audiences.
