Harmony College 2021 Event Announcement We are so looking forward to being able to experience the joy of singing together again, and your BABS board is actively working on plans for the coming months. As we have always said the health and well-being of our members is at the forefront of our decision making. We are continually studying all the scientific advice and monitoring the government roadmap and vaccination programme timeline on a daily basis. Sadly, we have decided that Harmony College, as an attended event, cannot take place in August this year. Government restrictions are not yet firmly fixed and we have concluded it will still be too early to welcome 300 people to gather in a closed environment. We have taken this decision in the best interests of our attendees and faculty and we are formally cancelling any in-person event in August. However, we are delighted to announce that, once again, we will be running Harmony College Online, with guest educator Theo Hicks, which will take place over the same weekend, the 6th to 8th August 2021. More details on this will be released soon! Based on the government's current announcements, we believe that our first in-person event will be QuartetCon, which will take place this year on the 13th and 14th November at the Octagon in Sheffield. Of course, we also have Sing2021 Online to look forward to, running from the 28th to 30th May, and SingSeptember will once again take place. Our 2022 programme is already shaping up to be extremely exciting with Directors Academy in the New Year with guest educator Greg Clancy; Sing2022, the first British Barbershop Convention for some time, in Harrogate in May and the 44th Harmony College in August 2022 with Theo Hicks attending in person as our guest educator. There is much to look forward to and prepare for, and we are very excited as we plan these events. We'll keep you all posted as our forward plans develop.
