Harmony College is our flagship educational event which is usually held in August and welcomes around about 400 people each year. As with many other events this year, we were not able to hold our in-person event but that did not deter us and we decided to move everything online. And wow! What a weekend jam packed full of education it was and all delivered online!

The weekend kicked off with an opening and warm up, then delegates went off into one of 5 streams, Arranging, College Chorus, Directing, Music Theory and Personal Development. We also offered one to one vocal coaching to all delegates and we were delighted to welcome our highly inspirational and motivational guest speaker, Jordan Travis.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive;

I wanted to reflect on the weekend as a whole, I thought it would be very different from the regular HC I am used to and of course it was. But I still shared and learned some excellent knowledge, met some great people and was moved by amazing performances. Jordan's Keynote Speech was a wonderful and very relatable and moving way to finish HC and I feel as sad it's over as I was last year in Nottingham on my way back home. No matter the obstacles, BABS has always delivered in my (somewhat) short life as a barbershopper and already brought so much in my life so thank you very much!

Never before has our association provided this scale of online education to its members but it sure won’t be the last time as it was so successful. We are also looking to add more virtual events, in addition to the usual face to face events in the future so watch this space!
