Pat Deeble, Performance Judge and Assistant Category Director [email protected] Pat has been involved in music for most of his life. He started singing at the age of 9 in his local church choir, St Mary’s, South Ruislip and has been singing in various choirs and choral groups ever since. He also played jazz semi-professionally from the late 50’s to the early 70’s. He sang with a small choir at Chesham Community Centre in the early 80’s and that’s where he found barbershop. He joined Chesham Buccaneers who rehearsed in the same building in 1983 Since then, he has also sung with Reading Barbershop Harmony, Royal Harmonics, Windsor (Founder member) and Cambridge Chord Company. He formed and directed Sound Company for 4 years. He has also competed with 4 different quartets over the same period. He joined the BABS judging community in October 1984. Certified as an Interpretation Judge in 1987. Re-certified as Presentation Judge in 1994 and is currently a Performance Judge.
