We are delighted to be returning to Harrogate for Sing2022 on the 29th April to the 1st May 2022.

Start planning your Harrogate visit now!

What makes our Conventions such a success is the interaction of everyone who comes. It’s a great time to socialise, eat, drink, meet up with old friends and make new ones too. If it’s going to be your first time at Convention, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Convention is more than just about contests, there are plenty of activities to get involved with including; workshops, tag sessions, a great show, the legendary afterglows and much more. And there’ll be plenty of opportunity to sing throughout the weekend.

Keeping You Safe

We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic may still be a concern for you, and wanted to reassure you that we are treating the provision of safety measures with utmost importance. We are working in partnership with Harrogate International Centre to put in appropriate measures that reflect the government guidance, which can be read here.

Online Booking

For the 2022 Convention we will once again be operating our own Box Office. This is purely an online system and there is no limit to the number of names on one booking. Payments are made through paypal and all bookings will be confirmed by email. Your passes (wristbands or badges) and tickets will be available to collect upon arrival at the event - you'll just need to print your confirmation email and bring it with you, or show it on your device when you arrive.

Registration Options

As well as the great value full weekend option there are one-day options for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. To encourage younger singers there are special rates for under 26 year olds and Juniors under 16. Plus, members with a young family, children under 5 go free. Registration includes access to the convention centre, all contests (depending on registration purchased) and a limited edition Sing2022 pin.

Refund Policy

BABS will be unable to offer refunds for registrations and tickets for Sing 2022. This has not been an easy decision but we have made it based on a number of considerations including:

  • the demand by members for a Convention to go ahead this year
  • the increase in costs of venues, accommodation, logistics etc
  • how we anticipate the national Covid situation in the spring, following the patterns of previous years

Should there be a person that was not able to attend due to testing positive or having to isolate due to Covid19, we would look at whether we could transfer the name of the registration to someone else. We could make the administrative changes on this but inevitably this would be down to the individual to organise, and then let us know of the change of name.

If the situation changes nearer to Sing2022, e.g. if the Government mandates stricter measures due to increase of cases etc, then this policy will be adapted to suit. We will always be led by the Government mandates.

We are excited to be able to offer an in-person convention opportunity for our members once again, and look forward to welcoming quartets and choruses back to the stage.
