What is the BABS Council?
The BABS Council is a the represtantive body at the heart of our governenace structure, taking representatives (Council Members) from each of our Clubs depending on how many members they have.
What does the BABS Council do?
The BABS Council meets twice a year, usually once in person and once online, at our Annual General Meeting and the Autumn Members Meeting. BABS Council will recive important updates from the Board, as well as performing important duties at the meetings such as electing new Trustees.
What does a BABS Council Member do?
A BABS Council Member acts as a conduit between their Club and the BABS Board, relaying information in both directions. A BABS Council member will receive important information from the Board prior to meetings and it's thier role to convey this to thier fellow Club Member's and canvas opinion.
Who can be a BABS Council Member?
Providing you're over 16 and fully paid up Club Member, anyone can be a BABS Council Member! Though it is a role often taken by the Chair and other Committee Members, this doesn't have to be the case.
